Welcome to Cotswold Reptile's Online
 |
Cotswold Reptile Centre is one of the UK's premier reptile centres, with over 25 years trading experience.
The time has flow by since our humble beginings in my home town of Bath. We have moved from Bath to Lyneham Nr Swindon, to Cirencester, Charlton Kings Cheltenham and finally in 2001 our new unit in central Cheltenham. We have been fortunate over the years to deal with some awesome animals; Chinese Alligators, 12ft King Cobras, 6ft Salvator Monitors, Florida Alligators, Black Mambas, Rhino Iguanas, Diamond Pythons, Black Headed Pythons, to name but a few! Over this period we have built a huge knowledge base, and feel this is key to our success in the modern herpetile market place.
Our breeding facilities have always been an important part of our business and we have always been at the forefront in these endevours. Currently our facilities are undergoing a large expansion program, to which we have a seperate dedicated website; Tropifauna Farms, please check it out!! |
So welcome to Cotswoldreptile.co.uk! Have a look
around, have a read of the Cotswold FAQ, and
our Biography to see how we have evolved, and check out our Galleries!
And above all...Enjoy!

One of the new arrivals at Cotswold is this Moroccan Black Cobra (Naja haja legionis). This is my favorite subspecies of the N.haja family. This one is around 6ft and is fairly placid unlike many of the haja and annulifera we have had here before.
They are very simmular to some Pakistan Black Cobras I have seen recently, but without any markings and a differing hood shape, the Paki Blacks being more rounded and equally spectacular.
As noted in the name, the main area of distibution is Morocco, but also is said to occur in Somolia, Ethiopia and the Sudan. |

| Tropifauna Bearded Dragon Morphs for
2009 |
|
 |
Our breeding facilities have had quite a year with the Bearded Dragon morphs. Kim & Karen's expertise has proven key in this field, and has moved us to new heights with these exciting morphs. Currently incubating are some Cawley Red Flaming Tiger Leatherbacks which should exhibit the characteristic purple bars onto this Leatherback morph. More pics soon!
